TALAKAVERI

                                              BLISSFUL - TALAKAVERI / CAUVERY

Is the setting that is more often than not [generally] considered to be the source of the river Kaveri and a holy place for many Hindus. it is located on Brahmagiri hill. According to legend Cauvery was held captive by sage Agasthya in a Kamandala, a pot carrying sacred water. Lord Ganesh  in the form of crow made the Kamandala to topple at the hill when Sage Agasthya was meditating.

     The entrance of TalaKaveri---👇👇👇

In Ancient Tamil literature, the river also called Ponni. The Kaveri is a sacred river to the people of the south Indian worshipped as the Kaveri Amma. It is considered as the seventh holy rivers of the India.

The Kaveri river is also known as Dakshin Ganga or Ganga of the South. Before emptying the Bay of  Bengal south of Cuddalore Tamil Nādu  the river  breaks in to a large number of distributaries forming a wide delta called the Garden of the south India.

The river originates as spring feeding tank. The waters are then said to flow underground to emerge as the Kaveri river.

Best days  in Monsoon  time July - September.

Awesome place. The place is very clean and the Kaveri starting point amazing to see.  The peak we went their were no crowd and chill climate. Good view from the Hill top of the temple. it seems as  a science place to around the greenery.

                                                            BHAGMANDALA

After that we went to Bhagamandala famous temple. There  is a  Triveni sangama, confluence of three rivers - Cauvery{ Kaveri} , Kannike & Sujyoti. The imposing Bhagandeshwara Temple has a large courtyard and is built in the Kerala style, with red - tiled roofs.

Although there is no information on the exact date & time on the construction of the Sri Bhagadeshwara temple & other temples around this area, it to be more than 1000 years old. It was built during The Cholas Dynasty.

The place has been named after Sri Bhaganda Maharshi who lived there along with his disciples. He did penance to invoke the blessings of Lord Shiva.

The lord blessed him & assured him of his presence.

Lord Shiva Linga was put in place by Sri Bhaganda Maharshi.

Signing off with this blessed experience 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖 in this post and will come back with the next episode in the upcoming post.
